Rock Creek Park is Washington, DC’s urban park that extends 12 miles from the Potomac River to the border of Maryland. Major sites include Rock Creek Park Nature Center and
Split Rock Creek. S wim, fish, or boat the waters of Split Rock Lake, the largest body of water in Pipestone County. The lake is the predominant feature of this park.
Rock Creek is one of central Iowa's camping hotspots. The large campground bordering the lake has 200 campsites (101 with electrical hookups) and modern rest rooms and showers.
Includes the Nature Center, Planetarium Visitor Center, Old Stone House and Pierce Barn. Includes history, activities, educational programs and information for children.
